Earthworks
Earthworks can be defined as engineering works created through the moving or processing parts of the earth’s surface and involves quantities of soil or unformed rock. This earth may be moved to another location where it can be used to form another shape or purpose. This process involves machine excavation and fill or backfill.
Typical earthworks undertaken by WHJ Projects include roads, railway beds, dams, causeways and land grading to reconfigure the topography of the site as well as stabilization of elevated ground. At times this process will involve moving up to millions of cubic metres of soil and requires heavy construction equipment, we are fully equipped with scrapers, loaders, productions trucks, graders, bulldozers and dragline excavators.
