Concrete Cutting
WHJ PROJECTS uses a power tool known as a consaw or road saw for the cutting of concrete, masonry, bricks, tiles, asphalt and other solid materials.
Dependent on the job required for your concrete cutting, it can be a small hand held cut off saw, or for the bigger concrete cutting job, a big walk behind saw. The saw blades used on concrete cutting saws are diamond saw blades or abrasive cut off wheels. This is because the friction generated in cutting hard substances like concrete usually require the blades to be cooled to prolong their life and reduce dust.
Core Drilling
A core drill is a drill specifically designed to remove a cylinder of material, and the material left inside the drill bit is referred to as the core. Core drills which are used for concrete would be called Diamond Core Drills and these are water cooled. When drilling masonry, carbide core drills can be used.Core drilling is well suited for electrical, plumbing , airconditioning services, skylights, extractor fans, wall beams and going through floors or slabs.Core drills come with several power choice including electric, pneumatic, hydraulic all of which require power sources such as a generator. W H J Projects will ensure the correct most efficient application to suit your requirements.
